"Avery -
You're funny! The "warm filter" was nothing more than a bunch of squiggly lines with no direction until "I" showed YOU and everyone else here how to use it. BTW, it's now called "Accumulation Warm Pop-80." Glad I was able to "fix it" and sell it when YOU weren't able to. "
Just because to you "The "warm filter" was nothing more than a bunch of squiggly lines" doesn't mean that is the way the others saw it.
Call it what you wish, but the people reading this forum know it's origins.

Riggs...wanted to look at results today for your filter and it said something like "can't run a filter with more than 10 set statements." Comment?

I simply can't believe the audacity of you to make such ridiculous claims. TRO has been way more valuable to this community than you will EVER be, and he doesn't even have to 'toot his own horn' to prove it. You're pathetic.

Jet Blue hit on this screen yesterday and BBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMmm...
Believe it or not people...He found the bottoms...
You still have took at what the screens give, but it is saving me hours of screening time...
I buy at different levels than he says but it is the same..
I buy when bressert dss is below 20 with a confirmation of fisher transform going green and confirmed volume is increasing...
All in all this screen finds the bottoms...
Remember the stock market is cyclical and nothing else matters.
cycles are the holy grail in the stock market..
Everything else is manufactured on small floats...

WALLSTREETGENIUS says glm47 -
Go here....http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/market/home.asp
Then scroll down on the left side and look for "market internals. "tick volume" is nothing more than the number of advancing stocks vs the number of declining stocks. Typically I want to see at least a difference of +300 between the NYSE and the NASDAQ.
- RIGGS -
This is not what others in the markets refer to as "tick volume". If tick volume interests you, Google it.

The filter is running and has been running fine for me and everyone else. It spit out 3 stocks today. Can't imagine what you're seeing. Sorry.....

No need to "google it." Thank for bring that to my attention. I meant to say "The Tick" rather than "tick volume." It was late when I wrote that and obviously lost my head, so thanks again for highlighting that important mistake, but I'm sure you knew where I was going.....
- RIGGS -
BTW, I corrected that typo in the post you were reffering to. Peace :)

I know what the 'Tick' is, I just wanted to hear Riggs' interpetation of it in case he added some insight I had not thought of. I value his input into this forum and have learned some useful stuff from him so far.
Both the NASDAQ and NYSE have their own Tick and Trin indicators. I like to see them in unison (doing the same thing) but I have never heard or read anyone measure them by comparing volume of one to the other, in fact I find this hard to understand and would love to hear some of you market vets chime in and offer us rookies some deeper insight.
I look at each of the markets as their own islands and have found no compelling reason to measure one against the other thus far in my limited trading experience.
I believe the Tick is a measure of how many stocks took an upturn vs downturn at that moment. When more are up than down, it indicates an positive market sentiment and vice versa.
