In retrospect, my haphazard entry coincided with Fib line 38.2, which I don't follow consistently.

AAPL looks amusing if not downright creepy today. With its full-blown manic-depression in public display, it runs around like a maniac on steroid. It's hard to guess what it's next move will be. But, then again, reason or rhyme has no place in the market (so I'm told).

NIKO,should have flagged this one last night but I didnt.Put on my list though and she's a beauty.GLW was in a squeeze:
Fetcher[4 day slope of upper bollinger band(12) is below 0 and 4 day slope of lower bollinger band(12) is above 0 and 3 day slope of close is above -.05 and close is between 23 and 24 and volume is above 1000000 and date offset 4/4/07]

.

Heres the follow through:
Fetcher[obv(1) increased 1 day and gap < 2.5% and draw bollinger band(12) and add column gap and sort column 3 descending and close is between 23 and 24 and volume is above 10000000 and date offset 4/5/07]

Very good intra-day morning for GLW ,perhaps easier to trade than AAPL.

@Petrol

Being a day trader, it's not my place to comment on the effectiveness of ure filter from a long term perspective. Be that as it may, I suppose what ure looking for is a breakout from the so-called "Bollinger squeeze". Based on how the fetched stocks did today, it looks pretty damn good on a very short-term basis. I did change the parameter for the date offset to see how it fared over the span of 10 days and it appears that it performed quite well within the first half but less so in the latter half. So I caution against holding ure position for longer than five days. Of course, more comprehensive backtesting is required to make any meaningful judgment.
