President Trump -
"“Jay Clayton is a highly talented expert on many aspects of financial and regulatory law, and he will ensure our financial institutions can thrive and create jobs while playing by the rules at the same time,” Trump said in a statement.
“We need to undo many regulations which have stifled investment in American businesses, and restore oversight of the financial industry in a way that does not harm American workers.”

I wonder how this will initially play out.
Will it correct first and then skyrocket?
Or will it just march on ... to DOW 60,000?
Where will stocks like PCLN, GOOGL & AMZN go?
$2000/share?

IF charts predicted future market moves, everyone on this message board would be a multi-millionaire .. and they'd probably not be here.

karen, if you dont like technical analysis or dont want to swing trade, I would not look at amazon or google for value investing in the long term. the Internet of Things companies in technology will be the new amazons of the world. companies like NVDA, once it consolidates back down to a reasonable level, will be historical in their growth. Look for chip makers for self driving cars, that sort of arena. that's the new economy. Or at least hold the technology ETF XLK.

Did I actually SAY that? Moi? I actually SAID I don't like technical analysis? Really? Wow!
WHERE? I'm on a journey of self-discovery, and I'd like to SEE that post.
Or, are you referring to dbyrt's post, "Why the stock market is for Losers".
I just went back to read it. And, nope, I didn't post that article. But, it is one point of view. Just like the article following it is another point of view.
At this point in my retirement years, IF I were to write on article on stock trading, it would probably be titled, "Take the gambling out of stock trading; trade Options". Rule #1 would be "Use less money for a higher returns".
Re: "Or at least hold the technology ETF XLK" ... I appreciate your advice, but I don't trade ETFs, and I certainly wouldn't "hold" any of them (see my "garbage" references re: ETFs if you're interested.)
BTW, thanks for naming your picks. I'll put NVDA on my watchlist.
Happy New Year.
Hope everyone makes lots of money (in whatever manner you choose).
BTW, speaking of money, if there are any readers out there, put the book "Dark Money" by Jane Mayer on your reading list.

pthomas,
Re: NVDA
I just ran my filter and never noticed ... NVDA is on my list of tradable stocks.
I guess I never noticed it because it was near the bottom. (On a list of 35 picks, I only watch the first 10.)
Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
