woofys,
By detail I meant:
What do you mean by alert?
....Do you want just general news alert for symbols
....A watch list of stocks with their price details
....Stockfetcher filter matches
....Do you want realtime or is 15 min delay ok
What country/carrier do you use?
Which cell phone do you use?
Based on these questions it will greatly effect your options. In many cases it maybe cheaper to go with a packet data solution rather than the older SMS solution. If you can help me understand what your expectations are maybe I can help you.

xplorer: By alert I mean, the company will send a script message to my cell letting me know that my stock symbal has hit the price I programed for. Real time. Country is usa. Sell is Nextel.

usually a brokerage account that you're setup with should provide you with that service.

I use Money.net and b4utrade.com (both). I have two of the Treo 300 phones.
Merry Christmas!
