If I'm not mistaken that slopofhope twitter account is part of old time poster Muddy / aka Wallman. They were part of that Greenonthescreen blog and darksidetrading blog bunch.
I came across his website way back and never did find it until now.

@karennma asked: Is this a crash or a correction?

Well, we've got our answer today January 2, 2019, straight from the top.
Nope, not a crash
Not a correction either.

Trump: “We had a little glitch in the stock markets last month,”
but they will go up again as trade deals are made and have a long way (up) to go

Damn! He wasn't kidding.
You know what they say about the first 3 weeks in January ...
Wheww!

@karennma

Glad to see you back. I was wondering the other day: Is karennma still busy with her painting.
I'm cheering with you. Many retirement accounts and pension funds depend on a healthy market.

Your advance alerts actually worked quite well. Kudos to your trading, risk management
and loss management discipline. For sure I am paying attention to your early red flags.

As for me, I've re-read some of the Stockfetcher archives and short-listed a handful of favorite authors
from Stockcharts public charts. There are many good people sharing good information.
https://stockcharts.com/public
Joanne Klein, David Larew. Cobra's Yong Pan, Greg Polites have great charts
Marc Slavin has great annotations for many popular indicators

Good luck, karen..

@ Cheese,
Looking at Joanne Klein's charts, I see the SPY buy signal is consistent w/ the Guppy signal on 12-24-18.

While browsing thru the charts on stockcharts ....

@karennma

This Zahorchak trending technique by Greg Morris is really good.
https://stockcharts.com/articles/dancing/2017/11/zahorchak-revisited.html

You may want to study it and build your chart using the sample chart and thresholds provided.
User-defined data by Greg Morris are provided free courtesy of Stockcharts.com
on a delay basis.

From looking at the charts of the Zahorchak trending technique, the measures
seem to have the right balance of timeliness and caution. They follow trends
and don't front run the NYSE. The technique also seems to have got near the top
of 2008, got back in near the bottom around the end of 2008, beginning 2009,
and avoided the bull trap head fake at the beginning of 2008 before the real
dive began.

Happy trading, karennma. All the best.

@ Cheese,
Re: TRIX things ...
I shouldn't be half asleep when I'm fooling with this stuff.
The green and red lines should be reversed (green crossing above red).
Do you know how to change it?
