Humility is the opposite of arrogance. How do you know that you do not know something that you should know? Only humility will tell you that there is a "possibility" of something you need to know but do not yet know. Only humility will tell you that there is the "possibility" of alternatives you have not yet generated.
Humility is the opening up of probes and communication with the world around, just as arrogance is the cutting off of communication.
