Is there a way to write "price has been below MA(50) for 15 days" with one line? Or do I have to say "below for 1 day, below for 2 days etc?
Thank You

cjmins,

This little scan will return stocks that have been below the MA(50)...15 of the last 16 days...and have just crossed ABOVE the MA(50) on day 16 !

Try this:

Fetcher[Show all stocks where

count(Price below MA(50),16) equals 15 and
Price crossed above MA(50)
]

----------------------

Of course, there is nothing in that scan that says the stocks returned have NOT been below the MA(50) for many MORE than just the last 15 days.

It insures that the stocks returned have been below the MA(50) for the last 15 days (maybe more)...and have just crossed ABOVE the MA(50) on the most recent day.

Railwhore,

I don't really have anything to say...wrt, your filter...

...I just jump at the chance to type "Railwhore" whenever the opportunity presents itself !

lol.

got that nick from the old quake 3 days when I would own everyone with the railgun. "that damned railwhore is at it again"!

You would think your filter and mine would return the same number - can you point out the difference?

Railwhore <ggg>,

Interesting story on the nick. I must say I was a bit curious.

As for the 2 filters...I don't know. I honestly hadn't looked at them both until you mentioned it. They both seem to return (for the most part) the same stocks but, there are some differences(in numbers and symbols).

Also, we both used the "price" phrase BELOW MA(50).

Yet, in both filters stocks were returned whose "HIGH" had been above the MA(50) within the last 15 days. That doesn't seem right to me either.

Hmmm...
