11/23/2021 12:35:21 PM Also I do not have any global filters. I get 73 as well when I run for Nov 12 I have to update my comment, I did not buy GREE since i already had that from previous week. Also I think for DAO & ONDS, i believe I messed up my order where I entered to buy at market close instead of market open. regarding CAN, I do not know how I missed that. Must be a mistake on my end. So looks like they now tie up. phew :) |

11/23/2021 12:41:45 PM @redversa721, Yes, those images from your Nov12 runs match what I get exactly, and your explanation clears up the differences I had noted. Thanks and sorry to take up too much of your time, Ed S. |

11/23/2021 12:44:39 PM Ed and redversa, I also got 73 for Nov 12, 2021. When I sortied column 6 instead of column 5, then BTU would be included in the top picks. That was why I thought some change must have been introduced. Anyway, thank you both for your filters and testing. |

11/29/2021 8:00:34 PM Sorry about the delay in posting. Long weekend and stuff Week 12 Total Buys 27 Wins : 19 Loss Unsold : 8 weekly p&l Gain Only: 97.98 Loss Only: Total: Total Gain : 1407.13 [ Since Start] Total Loss : -261.76 [Since Start] Net : 1145.37 [ Since Start] Week 1 unsold : 0 Week 2 unsold : 2 Week 3 unsold : 1 Week 4 unsold : 1 Week 5 Unsold : 0 Week 6 Unsold : 2 Week 7 Unsold : 0 Week 8 Unsold : 0 Week 9 Unsold : 0 Week 10 Unsold : 8 Week 11 Unsold : 11 Week 12 Unsold : 8 Win % is off since this includes this weeks % as well. Win % : 80.74 Loss % : 3.72 Unsold % : 15.54 Summary: Week was slightly better than the last 2 weeks. Some of the week 10 & 11 stocks gained. but still at a double digit loss. The short week and also the drop on Friday didn't make things easier. As usual , will be keeping the unsold for a few months. One of the stocks from week 2 is now at a 100% loss, but that was one where I was not fast enough for the sale and so it was all my mistake. There was also a stock name change and so it went from 50 per stock to almost 0.01 Maybe in the future a 50% stop loss limit is something i may consider. |

11/30/2021 12:00:55 PM Some observations regarding the live test data posted thru wk 11: 1. Anyone using the filter I posted in the evening of 10/8 be advised that SF starts a 2nd week the day after a midweek trading holiday. So last week consists of 2 weeks Monday-Wed and Friday only. 2. As other SFers before him Redversa721 is holding onto losers after the week ends for several weeks in anticipation of them rising from their low point so he can either breakeven, get a small profit or exit with a much smaller loss. a. To date: 2 losses from Wk1 both sold at a loss %unknown 4 losses out of 5 from Wk2 sold at smaller losses than had previously existed, 1 went from -30% to -8%, and 2 were >-25% and sold at -10%, and other sold with no numbers reported other than they had improved from their lows. these were all sold in Wk 7 5 losses(or more) from prior Wks were sold in Wk 9, with at least 3 with > -$20% being sold at -7% to-10% and 1 loss from Wk7 and 1 loss from Wk8 being sold at a profit. by my count that leaves 7 other held losses that have already been sold with unknown %s but my suspicion is they were sold at better losses than their low points. b. It seems to me that a possible mitigating loss approach would be to enter a 2nd trade on those stocks that were not sold in a given week, and exiting both positions at Redversa721 loss exit value. Based on the completed loss transactions identified above, using this approach would have garnered a small profit on each closed position other than the 2 from week 1. For example, the stock sold at -8% loss would have had another position sold with a near 17% gain more than wiping out the loss. Of course, this approach hinges on the belief of many SFers that most of these losers will rise back up in a few weeks. 3. His notes have indicated that in at least 5 weeks, most 2% or greater gainers were sold by Wed with the other weeks not reported. a. Perhaps another approach would be to exit all positions by Wed close to recoup small profits and smaller losses on those that remain unsold instead of waiting 2 more days for a few better profits. If this approach was used the strategy identified in 2b. above would probably not work as well, since the losers probably drop more by the weekly Friday closes. 4.. Some misc. observations : First 6 weeks of his live trading he was targeting 1.9% profit Wk7 switched to targeting 2.29% profit. (so prior wk gains are theoretically lower per week per stock) Due to late entry in Wk2 he ended with 4 losers that should have been winners, thereby understating that week's possible profit and adding 4 losers to the loser mix. It seems he has been slowly increasing how many stocks he buys on Monday Open, not sure why. A great help to this strategy would be an online broker that allows a person, over the weekend to enter purchases for the Monday Open which then triggers a 2.29% Profit stop order on each stock purchased and maybe a trigger for a trailing stop order on all of said stock. Just rambling on.... Ed S. |

11/30/2021 1:20:39 PM https://www.stockfetcher.com/forums/Filter-Exchange/TRO-S-CROCK-POT-2-0/115856/210 ===================================================== Ed S, THANK YOU for your review of CROCK POT 2.0, and for your many posts & filters over the years. Both you and redversa721 have posted many filters with great signals for entry and exit, + suggestions for money management. I've learned a lot from ideas from both of you. I've found good value in reading TRO's original CROCK POT + MTC + RFR etc threads and reader comments, and I've made good use of them as stats reports and money management warnings. I am not at a level where I could use CROCK POT 2.0 > 2%, or other CROCK POTs > 5% and > 10% I do want to thank Ventura Trader again for the excellent posts and warnings at the beginning of this journey. Best. |

12/4/2021 2:17:04 PM Hi all Been a super busy week for me work wise, but here are the results of week 13 Week 13 Total Buys 23 Wins : 13 Loss Unsold : 10 weekly p&l Gain Only: 64.58 Loss Only: Total: Total Gain : 1476.64 [ Since Start] Total Loss : -261.76 [Since Start] Net : 1214.88 [ Since Start] Week 1 unsold : 0 Week 2 unsold : 2 Week 3 unsold : 1 Week 4 unsold : 1 Week 5 Unsold : 0 Week 6 Unsold : 2 Week 7 Unsold : 0 Week 8 Unsold : 0 Week 9 Unsold : 0 Week 10 Unsold : 8 Week 11 Unsold : 11 Week 12 Unsold : 7 Week 13 Unsold : 10 Win % : 82.09 Loss % : 3.72 Unsold % : 14.19 Summary: Week started off good. I started off with 23 stocks and 9 sold at profit same day. But damm the up's and downs the next few days..hahah. I also noticed that a big green open on Monday leads to a pretty crappy week. Most weeks that had a red monday open had a splendid weekly run for me. There are about 10 unsold and they are mostly at between 7 and 10% loss now. One stock is at 33% loss [DAO] I think next week most of the losses should get sold if market is better. Also as of now I have about 37 stocks in unsold state just from November alone. That's about 9K locked in and hemorrhaging. Something I didnt consider when I started. On to a better December. |
