Just signed up for stockfetcher and am looking at different strategies one of which is the rsi(2) as espoused by Larry Connors.
I realize it is a very simple screen but was wondering if it could be improved by creating a filter whereby the following would be added:
- rsi(2) value less than 10 (or 5)
- rsi(2) slope is 0 (I have noticed that the slope of the rsi(2) tends to flatten before bouncing above the trigger line
- stock is above ma(200) or (100 might catch a few more)
- parabolic buy signal
- trend is bullish (aroon oscillator positive) for n days (n=2 say)
Is this too much to ask for in that very few stocks would meet this?
Which of these filters could be relaxed or is unlikely/redundant?
Thanks in advance,

Your request sounds like an old TRO filter.
Here's something weird ... a slope of the rsi(2).
However, it doesn't necessarily mean the stock has bottomed.

What rsi(2) screen, filter, or criteria does Larry Conner recommend using?
Here's a rough filter with your criteria. The first 3 lines find a number of stocks. The number drops considerably when you add the SAR. With the Aroon line active, it doesn't find any hits.
It may be difficult to find a situation where rsi(2) is below 10 or 5 and the slope is flat-lined and then suddenly find
Aroon or Parabolic SAR in an immediate uptrend. But who knows, you might find something from this.

By simply relaxing the wait period to 2 days yields considerably more results - thanks!.
I suspected that the setups I was looking at would be too restrictive.

Found this on the Public Filter list:
http://forums.stockfetcher.com/sfforums/?q=post&fid=1002&tid=81375&qrid=1256064317
The author identifies this as a bouncing filter with an rsi(2)-type trigger.
