Of all the countless filters that flew in ure face over the history of StockFetcher, short filters were few and far in between. Yet to lose sight of the cute little cubbies at work while raiding their bullish cohorts is like deriving half the pleasure, at least for the money ure paying to use StockFetcher. So if you happen to be a perma bear with a preference for using the elevator over stairs on ure way down, then step up to the plate and share ure all-time favorite short filter.

Alright, let me get my bear cap on do some tinkering. By the way, I liked ure recent Elder-Ray filter.

Riggs, where did you learn to type? LMAO!!
Also, you better be taking me to Vegas for NASCAR!! You've made enough $$$$ off my filters to spring for tickets.

Just kind of put all of TRO'S shorting Idea's into one filter, that's all. And thanx for the Elder-Ray thing! Yeah, I'm loving that filter too....

Just sent you an email about Vegas NASCAR! Sorry bro, but theres no way I go to Vegas without the wife. Russell's wife is going, so I had to bring mine as well.

TRO,
Thx for the post. However, at this point, I can only speculate that it's the same filter as the one Riggs posted. Both filters, in fact, are based on just 4 premises:
show stocks where close above 5
and AVERAGE volume(90) is above 300000
and volume is above 300000
and HIGH is near TOP linear Regression Line(60)
Another problem is that it returns way too many stocks (over 100). I added "RSI(2) above 99" as another condition and that narrowed the results down to 25. But when using date offset feature to test the performance over several days, going back to 40 days, the results weren't very impressive. This filter would have been, in my opinion, better served as a "long" filter.

I think TRO was just trying to make my filter more CLEAR. As for the filter returning too many results, that's what the "ZOOM LENS" is for. It makes it easy to find the right criteria! Example: RSVAL=97 ADVAL=100 MOVAL=100 WRVAL=100 is a perfect senerio for a possible short. Do you see what I mean? The "ZOOM LENS" does all the work for you so the more the results, the better IMO. Peace.

Since the recent thread on short-filter was unceremoniously deleted, I thought this thread deserves a resurrection flashback.
