Just wanna hear what different peoples favourite "short term" trend indicator is?

I prefer a very simple and normal EMA(3) and MA(10) cross.

When EMA(3) crosses above MA(10) buy - and opposite.

I've tried a lot of different trend indicators and find this best myself.

What do you like most for short term trends ?

its really very simple in an uptrending market buy support if it breaks down then short it. I would define uptrend as a ma 20 above the ma 50 and all above the ma 100 and 200

this guy puts the lines on for you...

RSI(2)

Price that take's a upward bounce off the EMA(21) or even better when a price is moving in a uptrend up the EMA(13) and pulling back and touching near EMA(13) or dipping to the EMA(21). RSI(2) can tell when the price is taking a another run. To me a stock running up the EMA(13) with pullbacks to the EMA(13) will blow through a previous level resistance when they start their next upward trend in most cases

One might add to their filters

Draw RSI(2)
add column RSI(2)
add column RSI(2) one day ago

Just saying RSI(2) can add a extra pump to watching a price change in a different direction.

add column average day range(30)
sort highest to lowest using average day range(30)
Draw RSI(2)
add column RSI(2)
add column RSI(2) one day ago
and
RUN FORREST RUN

IMHO!

One on my trigger indicators I use is fast stochastic fast %k(5,2) is one of the first indicator,s to make a crossover . From below where the fast stochastic fast %k crosses above fast stochastic slow %d and from top where fast stochastic slow %d crosses below fast stochastic fast %k.

Tell me what you think.
